[Mpi-forum] automating building PDFs?

+1 on this. Would one of the academic members be able to provide such a service, perchance? (i.e., someone who can easily deploy a web service)

Fab is not the only one who was affected by such things -- I know that Alexander Supalov and Dave Solt have also both previously had problem trying to edit / build documents for tickets, etc.

As I understand it, Dave now uses an ancient internal HP-UX server with an ancient version of latex, so the problem is more-or-less solved for him, but having a shrink-wrapped way for Forum members to produce a perfect document without needing to install any additional software would be most useful.

I haven't found a command line package that I can use that would support our makefile format. This leaves me in the undesirable position of having to impose on other people to not only build PDFs for me, but suffer my LaTeX syntax errors too.
