Dear MPI User,
the MPI Shared Memeory interface is an interesting extension of MPI.
"One-Sided Communication and the MPI Shared Memory Interface" on FutureLearn:
https://www.futurelearn.com/courses/mpi-shared-memory-interface/1
You can start now - it is free:
Weeks 3 (just started) and 4 are dedicated to this fascinating functionality for efficient parallel programming on clusters of multi-core shared memory nodes.
This online course will will run in total for four weeks, with an estimated effort of 4 hours per week. During this time you will be guided through the concepts of MPI one-sided communication and learn how to correctly and efficiently use MPI shared memory (with C and Fortran bindings). Several examples and exercises will illustrate the use of these features and help to understand their benefits. You will also be able to challenge your knowledge with some quizzes!
This online course has been developed by us, i.e., by HLRS, ASTRON and SURFsara, with the sponsorship of PRACE. You can register for free via FutureLearn using the link above.
Best regards,
Rolf Rabenseifner, Lucienne Dettki, Zheng Meyer-Zhao, and Carlos Teijeiro
