[Mpi-forum] Ticket #324 Reading

HI all,

We’ve scheduled ticket #324 (Clarify MPI_ERRORS_ARE_FATAL scope of abort) for a reading at the June meeting in two weeks. It’s a relatively short ticket clarifying that MPI_ERRORS_ARE_FATAL is the same thing as calling MPI_ABORT on a communicator and that calling MPI_ABORT on a communicator should only abort that communicator. I’ll do a short plenary along with the reading to demonstrate our motivating use cases. If you’d like to read the text ahead of time, it hasn’t changed from the version that Josh presented a few years ago and can be found on the ticket as mpi-ticket-324-v2.pdf. The appropriate text is marked up with ticket324 on the PDF.
