A reminder: we're about the dive deeply into MPI-3 discussions.  You  
probably want to sign up on the MPI-3 general mailing list (just like  
we had the MPI-2.1 and MPI-2.2 mailing lists).  Here's the signup page:

Mails to the MPI-3 list are archived are lists.mpi-forum.org (just
