If I had no clue what the implications of this would be (which is true
for most people who are not attending the Forum meetings), my answer
would certainly be yes.

Maybe we should say, "My MPI application would benefit from being able
to send/receive 2GB data ..., even if it means that I have to modify the
type signature of all MPI functions in my application".
