[Mpi-21] MPI 2.1 supported in MPICH2 1.1a1

Just FYI... MPICH2 1.1a1 released yesterday supports MPI 2.1.

PS: external32 and user-defined data representations are not yet supported.
They weren't supported for 2.0 either.

A new release of MPICH2 (1.1a1) is available from

This is a "feature-preview" release. MPICH2 developers, testers and other
advanced users are encouraged to try this release out and let us know if you
encounter any problems. This release is not intended for production systems
at this time; such systems should continue to use the latest release from
the 1.0.x branch (currently 1.0.7).

The major additions in the 1.1a1 release are highlighted below.
