<p class="MsoNormal">Ticket 278 (<a href="https://svn.mpi-forum.org/trac/mpi-forum-web/ticket/278">https://svn.mpi-forum.org/trac/mpi-forum-web/ticket/278</a>) proposes to remove all the deprecated MPI-1 functions. People have had over a decade to move on
to the new functions, and implementations can still provide these functions since MPI-3 does not preclude concurrent support for MPI-2.2.<o:p></o:p></p>
