Following our discussion at the last telecon I've drafted a proposal
for handling faults in MPI and uploaded it to the Wiki. The proposal
is available in both Word and pdf formats and I can upload a .txt
version if people want. The proposal leaves several areas unspecified
(highlighted in blue) because I wasn't sure how to organize some
functionality that I think we should have. Any comments about the
document are welcome.
I also notice that Alexander Supovalov uploaded an alternate fault
handling proposal to the Wiki a while ago. Between these two drafts
we should have a decent start towards putting something useful
together. Please voice your initial thoughts over email so that we
can handle more concrete issues at our face-to-face.
